Bob Chapman

As the 1990s drew to a close, Bob Chapman combined a nascent passion for photography with a lifelong passion for motorsport. A trip to the 2000 Rolex 24 at Daytona brought an opportunity to pursue motorsport photography professionally.  Although he remained tethered to an 8-5 corporate life during the next several years, he could be found at the track each weekend with camera in hand.

In 2005, Chapman cut the cord with his previous professional life, choosing, instead, to pursue photography on a fulltime basis as a partner in Autosport
Image, a company that specializes in marketing for the various participants in motorsport.  His most recent clients have included Flying Lizard Motorsports, Synergy Racing (formerly G&W Motorsports), At Speed Motorsports, STaSIS Engineering and a number of drivers in the American Le Mans Series, Grand-Am, and Speed World Challenge.  

During the past several years, Chapman’s photographs have been featured in a number of leading automotive magazines, motorsport books and motorsport media web sites.  Among these are Autoweek, Road & Track, Sports Car International, Porsche Panorama, Autosport, Racer, MCsquared and the Porsche Sport annuals.  Most recently, his photojournalistic efforts have been regularly featured in Excellence: The Magazine About Porsche.
